WHEN IS THE 2022 SAC STUDENT ELECTION?

Science and Art Centers (SAC) are private education institutions affiliated to the General Directorate of Special Education and Guidance Services. These institutions, where gifted students receive education, make student selections every year. But unfortunately, the pandemic that hindered everything caused disruptions in the student selection of SACs. Last year, they could not choose new students.

So, will there be an election for new students in the 2021-2022 academic year?

Every year, the Ministry of National Education published a student selection guide for SAC student selection. In line with this guideline, special talented children were chosen among 1st and 2nd and 3rd grades students. Still, the guide was published in November. However, due to the pandemic last year, the new guide was not published. In fact, the 2019-2020 auditions were extended and new students could not be admitted in 2020-2021.

The 2021-2022 academic year was a period when I became normal in terms of the pandemic. Schools have been opened, school courses are continuing, central exams are held by taking necessary precautions. However, SAC 2022 student selection guide has not been published.

What’s in the Guide?

What are the expectations from the auditions this year?

There were no auditions last year. The Ministry of National Education is trying to standardize the auditions with the guide it publishes every year. Every year, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades students entered the audition. What will happen to 3th grade students who did not audition last year? Their parents want 4th graders to be given the right to audition this year. So far, no statement has been made by the Ministry in this regard.

But the guide may come as a surprise. We’ll wait and see.
